Sunsets at Fort Niagara

This is the time of the year when I love to sit by the water at Fort Niagara and watch the sunset. My mother used to take me and my brother when we were younger and now I am carrying on the tradition with my girls. They love it just like we used to. The bonus is that we live within walking distance. This is a picture that I took of the girls last year wading in the water. I just love it.

School Paperbag album

I made this album for Leah's teacher. I used some Cricut, sizzix, and my BIA. The paper is from the new DCWV Grade School Stack. Love it!

Altered clothespin

Here's an altered clothespin I made yesterday. I found them at AC Moore in a bin for $1 each. I've always wanted to try to alter one and at $1 each I couldn't pass them up. They come in a natural wood tone- I took it apart and painted it white. I even found some of the elusive "skittles" at Michaels yesterday and added a clear one to the center of the button.

Leah & Ray

I know I don't usually talk about my family- but I wanted to share this picture. Leah's birthday was last week and she had a list of what she wanted. One of those things was a very hard-to-find Webkinz. It was the tiger snake and it was found! Look at the expression on her face. She loved it! She went straight to the computer to register him and named him Ray. It was the sweetest thing. My mother gave it to her and my Mom's brother recently passed away (his name was Ray). My mom and I looked at each other and had tears in our eyes.

She wore him around her neck to Applebee's for her birthday dinner, too. LOL

Hannah Montana and My Journal Altered notebooks...

Matching card...

I made the Hannah Montana notebook for Leah's friend's birthday using the tag from the pajama set that we bought her. Once Leah saw the notebook she didn't want to give it away. She made me make another one for her. She picked out the paper and ribbon. I like the way they turned out. I have always wanted to alter one and after watching the video on The Pink Stamper blog http://www.thepinkstamper.blogspot.com/ she made it look sooo easy so I decided to give it a try. What do you think?
Making another for other DD. Will post when I am finished... I'm loving these books. So much fun.
