Were you wondering what happened to me?
Wow! I cannot believe that it has been over a year since I have updated this blog. Unfortunately I have not had the space to do my paper crafting and I just hate packing everything up every time I try to make something. I like to be able to pick right back up where I left off. Although I have not made any cards or albums, I discovered Pinterest about the time I stopped posting and have found plenty of ideas to keep me crafty. I thought that I would share with you a few of the projects that I have worked on over the past year.
CANDY BIRTHDAY CAKE
I made Leah a cake with all of her favorite candies... dumdum suckers and Canadian candy bars. The elephant is a cutfile that I designed on my Gypsy a couple of years ago. SHE LOVED IT!
DADDY DOODIE KIT
My brother and his wife are expecting their first child next week... a baby boy! I cannot wait to spoil that little guy!
I found this cute little idea on Pinterest. This kit included diapers, gloves, goggles, clothespin for nose, tongs for diaper disposal, hand sanitizer, baby wash, washcloth, baby food, pacifier, bibs, spoon, and wipes. I designed the labels on the computer.
RETIREMENT BANNER
KAILEIGH'S SWEET SIXTEEN
The cupcake and frosting recipes were from Pinterest and I made this cute banner to hang- each pennant has a picture of every birthday for the past 15 years. She loved it.
TOOTH FAIRY TOOTH PILLOW
The little mouth is where the lost tooth and money goes.
BABY SHOWER
Lots of ideas from Pinterest here... The owl cake shape was from Pinterest, along with the tissue paper decorations, and the onesie with the tie on it. The vase that the tulips were in was an old olive jar that I wrapped string around and added a tulle bow. It turned out sooo pretty. I designed the favor labels on my computer. I made a garland with the little onesies and tied matching fabric bows with the onesies. Very cute.

Puppy Valentine
This weekend I decided that I was going to devote some time to my favorite stress reliever... card making.
My goal was to use up some of my scraps, 12 cards later with multiple layers, and I don't think I will ever see the end of them. I am truly addicted to foam dots and I have just about ran out of my stash. (Just a note... foam dots lose their sticky if you have them too long... I have had some projects fall apart over time- the were ones that I had bought at the dollar store though).
This little guy was made using the dog from Create-a-Critter and my Gypsy. I used flocking for the nose of the puppy- he is so soft- and I used some of my rhinestones to dress up his little collar, and my white Signo pen to accent the heart.
